Propaquizafop belongs to the Aryloxyphenoxypropionate (FOP) group and acts by inhibiting ACCase, an essential enzyme for fatty acid synthesis in grasses. Without fatty acids, cell membranes cannot form, leading to cell disintegration and plant death. is a systemic herbicide, which is quickly absorbed by the leaves and translocated from the foliage to the growing points of the leaves and roots of the sprayed weeds.
